Waterlodge Skries, a nature lodge for eight people near the water

Waterlodge Skries sleeps eight people, spread across three bedrooms. There is a bathroom. The cottage is approximately 70 m² and has its own terrace by the water. There is approximately 400 m² of open space surrounding it. Skries can also be booked together with Goudûle and Ljip, as Swarm, for ten to sixteen people. Waterlodge Skries is one of the twelve waterlodges on Pean-buiten Akkrum. Seven of those twelve share a large jetty with a terrace and picnic table, sixty meters from the house. Skries is one of them. And your dog is welcome. You pay 25 euros per dog per stay. That is an additional charge, not a deposit. One dog is always allowed, and so are two. More than two requires consultation.

Pean-buiten The Wijde Ee is located directly on the Wijde Ee, a waterway that forms part of one of Friesland's most beautiful sailing areas. From this lake, you can easily sail northeast (without bridges) to Grou or the Alde Feanen National Park, with its villages of Eernewoude and Veenhoop. Sailing southwest takes you to Akkrum, Terherne, and the Sneekermeer lake.

Experience this beautiful area from the water by canoe, SUP board, sloop, or sailboat. Due to its variety, the waterways are highly suitable for beginners and advanced water sports enthusiasts.

In addition, there are various cycling and walking opportunities in the area. The alternation of meadows and waterways characterizes the Frisian landscape.

The hospitality and cultural facilities in the various villages such as Akkrum, Grou, De Veenhoop, and Aldeboarn are excellent.

Akkrum (5 km) can be reached by car or bicycle via a winding country road. Sometimes you have to wait a moment when the cows are being brought in for milking at our neighbor's.

In Akkrum you will find a supermarket, butcher, baker, drugstore, cheese shop, bookstore, and a number of delicious restaurants. You can rent various boats from us.

In a 15-minute boat ride, you are in the watersports village of Grou, with the best ice cream parlor in the area, various restaurants – and a real 'Boot'schappen jetty.
