What does a party look like at our place?
You are renting more than just a room from us. De Deel is the upper part of the restaurant, with the kitchen and the head chef in the same building. It seats 150 guests standing and seventy at the tables.
The price consists of a fixed amount for the hall, including the seven farm rooms above the hall, and a price per person for food and drinks. All amounts include VAT and service, with no surprises afterwards.
A family party during the day
You arrive at 11:00, coffee is ready with orange cake, and the gifts are opened. Lunch is ready around 13:00, and the charcuterie boards are brought to the table at 15:00.
It finishes at 16:00 PM. Fifty guests, ten of whom are children, come to €2.372,50 including VAT: the daytime room (€550) plus reception, lunch, and snack platter per person. That is €47,45 per person; children under twelve pay half.
An evening with a dinner
At 18:00 PM, we pour the first drink, after which you take your seat at the table for a dinner of your choice (a 3-course surprise dinner from our chef, a catered BBQ, or generously topped pinsa), and from 20:00 PM, the bar opens for five hours. An evening for a staff party or an anniversary.
Forty guests with the surprise dinner comes to €6.520,00 including VAT, or €163,00 per person. This includes the appetizers, five hours of unlimited drinks, the dinner, kitchen and service, the hall with the seven farm rooms, and cleaning afterwards.
A party that continues until 01:00 AM
Everyone arrives at 19:30 PM, and the music stops at 01:00 AM. The seven farm rooms above the hall are included with the hall, so fourteen people are sleeping above the party, and the evening is allowed to continue until 01:00 AM.
Eighty guests comes to €6.890,00 including VAT, or €86,13 per person: charcuterie boards, hot snacks and five hours of unlimited drinks per person, the hall with the rooms (€1.325), and €325 for cleaning afterwards.

The hall, including the seven farm rooms, is a fixed amount of €1.325 per evening (€550 during the day); after a party, an additional €325 is charged for cleaning. For dinner, we charge €350 for kitchen and service. Children under twelve pay half price. Your guests can stay overnight on the premises: view all rooms and cottages in Weidum, or the group accommodation in the farmhouse.

Frequently asked questions
How many people can be accommodated?
Standing, for drinks, about 150 guests. At the tables, there is room for seventy. It is just as cozy with a small group, and there is no minimum number of guests.
Do you charge a room rental fee?
Yes, one fixed price: €1.325 per evening for the hall, including the seven farm rooms above the hall, so the party can continue until 01:00 AM. During the day, the hall is €550. On top of that, you pay per person for food and drinks; service and VAT are included in everything.
Until what time is a party allowed to last?
Indoors until 01:00 AM; the seven farm rooms above the hall are included with the hall, so your guests sleep above the party. We do not play amplified music outside, and after 23:00 PM we keep it quiet outside because people are sleeping.
Are we allowed to bring our own food and drinks?
That is not necessary. Food and drinks come from our own kitchen and bar, and that is included in the price. Do you have any special requests, a dietary requirement, or a favorite drink? Just let us know, and we will take care of it.
Can we bring our own DJ?
Yes. A DJ or band brings their own sound system, because we don't have one. We don't have a stage either; you rent that from a rental company.
Can we get there by car, and is there a charging station?
Yes. You can simply park in the yard, even with a large group, and there is a charging station. Weidum is eight kilometers from Leeuwarden, so you can drive there from the city in no time.
Can we add something to it, like old Dutch games?
Certainly. We have traditional Dutch games, which are a hit at team outings or staff parties. Would you prefer something else, or perhaps something outdoors? Just let us know what you have in mind, and we'll see what fits.
