You don't hold a strategy day to have meetings. You hold it to step back from work for a moment. That rarely happens in your own business.
What are the possibilities?
Meetings can be held at three locations. Pean-buiten Akkrum is situated on the Frisian lakes and accommodates four to approximately 180 people. Pean-buiten Weidum is located on the Elfstedenroute, 8 kilometers from Leeuwarden, for four to approximately 150 people. On Pean-buiten It Kathûs you rent the old hayloft for about fifty.
A half-day, a full day, or a few days in a row. That is up to you.
Het vergaderarrangement kost 40,50 euro per persoon, inclusief btw. Daarin zit de ruimte voor de hele dag, met een scherm met HDMI, een flip-over en fruitwater op tafel. De wifi werkt.
Do you want to extend the day? Finish with drinks and Frisian snacks. And whoever wants to stay the night, can stay the night.

Op Pean-buiten Weidum, eight kilometers from Leeuwarden: De Deel for thirty at the table or fifty in a theater setup, the Voorhuis for sixteen. On It Kathûs the old hayloft for about fifty, from May through September.

Taking a step back from work is rarely possible at one's own company. That is why teams come here: to the water on Pean-buiten Akkrum, or to the meadows near Leeuwarden at Pean-buiten Weidum.

Activities after the meeting
After the session, head out on the water: stand-up paddleboarding, canoeing, or boating at both locations. Sailing with a skipper is possible on Pean-buiten Akkrum; on Pean-buiten From Weidum, you can walk or cycle straight onto the Elfsteden Route.
Can you also hold meetings outside?
Yes, at both locations, on the grounds or by the water. And you end the day by a campfire, or with drinks and Frisian snacks. Everything is on one property, so no one has to go anywhere.

- Op Pean-buiten Weidum: The Deel in the farmhouse from 1867, and the meeting room in the Voorhuis for sixteen people.
- Op Pean-buiten Akkrum: De Jister with the Sinnekant next to it, De Berch, and Goudule for small groups up to sixteen.
- Op Pean-buiten It Kathûs: the old hayloft, from May through September.
In every room, a TV screen, a flip chart, and Wi-Fi. There is daylight everywhere.
Can we also stay overnight?
Yes, at two of the three locations.
Op Pean-buiten In Akkrum, you sleep in a water lodge or in group accommodation: a total of 180 beds. On Pean-buiten Weidum in a meadow suite, a tiny house, a houseboat, or a farm room: 54 beds in total.
Op It Kathûs Can't you sleep? We arrange breakfast, lunch, and dinner for groups.
Is there also room for team building or outdoor activities?
Yes. On Pean-buiten In Akkrum, you head out onto the water: stand-up paddleboarding, canoeing, boating in a sloop, or sailing with a skipper.
Op Pean-buiten In Weidum, you can walk or cycle straight onto the Elfstedenroute. Meetings can also be held outdoors, and a campfire is part of the experience.
You don't have to do anything. The space is there.

Where can I find sustainable meeting locations?
Pean-buiten Akkrum has been Green Key Gold certified since 2024. Pean-buiten Weidum is well on its way to becoming Green Key Gold.
What you notice: food from local farmers, no single-use plastic, collected rainwater, and nesting opportunities for birds, insects, and bats.
Op Pean-buiten In Akkrum, there is a food forest of about one hectare. You are allowed to pick from it yourself.
What are alternatives to a brainstorming session?
A strategy session doesn't have to take place on the heath.
Op Pean-buiten In Akkrum, you walk along the reeds and the water. On Pean-buiten Weidum between the meadows. You can sit outside, hold a meeting in the orchard, or work on a deck.
Just getting away from the office. That is often enough.
